Faculty Excellence Award

Criteria

Recipients

1. Nominee must be a current, regular (tenured) or temporary full-time or part-time instructor who has taught at Cuesta College for a minimum of five (5) years and has fulfilled at least three (3) full-time equivalent years.
2. Nominee has achieved a ranking of at least the 75th percentile on all student evaluations for the most recent two consecutive evaluation periods. (If none of the nominees are in the 75th percentile, a majority vote of the committee will determine whether or not to proceed.)
3. Nominee has exhibited leadership in course organization and presentation.
4. Nominee has evidenced good use of current educational methodology.
5. Nominee has participated in professional growth activities that directly relate to teaching.

With the exception of the Superintendent/President, all full-time academic staff with four or more years or service, or part-time temporary academic staff with eight or more years of service, are eligible to be nominated for the honor.
