The Journalism Program is the most vital program on campus because if you don't have student news, you don't have communication. The Cuestonian represents a diverse student body and is the only sounding board that is campus-wide.

The Cuestonian encourages unity, innovation, and progress within the campus community. It is distributed free and is a student voice which serves the governed, not the governors. It reaches a broad audience.

The current state of journalism expects reporters out of the gate to be able to tell stories and convey news and features across various mediums. There can't be any doubt that in this convergence of media forms lies journalism's future; we see it happening on a daily basis. Cuesta's student journalists are learning cutting-edge technology.
